A day off the golf course? How about an excursion to the cultural center of East Tyrol, the charming “sun city” Lienz? Stroll through the picturesque historic center and weekly market with regional products or relax in a street café with Mediterranean flair. Newly energized, you can opt for an exclusive shopping tour and a visit to a museum. Worth seeing are, for example, Bruck Castle or Anras Castle and in the immediate vicinity the former Roman settlement of Aguntum with its archaeological park and open-air museum in Dölsach.

One of the highlights awaiting you in the immediate surroundings of our hotel are bike tours with our own bikes or modern rented electric bikes, starting directly from the Dolomitengolf Suites. The Drau cycle path, one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Europe, and the Isel cycle path are especially suitable for family trips, since they are easy to cycle and picturesque. A paradise for mountain bikers... The Lienzer Dolomites feature more than 40 challenging mountain bike trails, leading through three of the surrounding mountain ranges.

The alpine coaster, one of the longest and most spectacular alpine summer toboggan runs in the world, guarantees pure adrenalin. Glide on sledges through the impressive natural surroundings into the valley. A ride with fast-paced curves, an unforgettable adventure for all ages and a safe feeling thanks to individual speed control with handbrake levers. The ride with the “Osttirodler” is simply breathtaking. From a scenic point of view this is especially due to the sensational panoramic outlook on Bruck Castle and the Lienzer valley floor.

East Tyrol is the perfect place to be for all outdoor lovers. Water sports enthusiasts can go white-water rafting on the river Isel in canoes or rafting boats until autumn. The largest meltwater river in the Alps, fed by a glacier, features both calmer sections for beginners and turbulent waters with impressive waves for advanced rafters. Canyoning is a synonym of adrenaline: cross waterfalls and try out rappelling from rock gullies under the professional supervision of qualified tour guides.

The 36-hole golf course, comprising two excellently maintained 18-hole championship courses, has been conveniently designed on flat ground in an altitude of 675 meters. The mild weather conditions on the southern side of the Alps enables an extended golf season from end of March until the end of October. Enjoy relaxing rounds of golf and training sessions with the pros of the Dolomitengolf Academy at the foot of the impressive Lienz Dolomites.
